Shows how the proposed alternate, if accepted, will be identified on the job site.This includes intended use, input data, anticipated outputs, and limitations of computer models and other analytical tools or methods. Provides documentation of evaluation methods utilized.Demonstrates that proposed alternative is compatible with balance of code requirements.Compares the proposed alternative versus the code requirements in terms of structural strength, suitability, effectiveness, fire resistance, safety and/or health, and impacts affecting the building or users of the building.Defines the measure of equivalency for the proposed alternative in terms of structural strength, suitability, effectiveness, fire resistance, safety, and/or health, and impacts affecting the building or users of the building.Specifies code provisions for which alternative is requested and why request is being submitted.The applicant / design professional shall prepare a written report that:.Demonstrate that the requested alternative method or material is compatible with the balance of code requirements.Compare the suggested alternative approach to code requirements under all situations in which the code-based solution is expected to function.Identify those elements of the code provision for which equivalence is required, and to determine measure of equivalency in terms of structural strength, suitability, effectiveness, fire resistance, safety and health.The applicant / design professional shall:.In order to formalize a more predictable approach for developing and reviewing alternate materials, designs, and methods of construction solutions proposed under the provision of the 2019 California Building Code Section(s) 104.11 the following guidelines have been developed: As a result, the NJDPB has determined the default provider for the current fiscal year (FY) covering July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, to be Empower (formerly Prudential).Guidelines for Approval of Alternate Materials, Design & Methods of Construction The NJDPB has considered the concerns of members, human resource managers, and the investment providers for the ABP, and has developed procedures to periodically select an investment provider to serve as the default provider. If the member is subject to delayed vesting, and is enrolled with the default investment provider, the member is allowed to choose an alternate investment provider during the first year and transfer the contributions deposited to that alternate investment provider. Contributions will continue to be sent to the default investment provider and invested in that money market fund until the ABP member designates an investment provider, completes an application with that investment provider, and notifies the employer of this action.
